The Five Most Expensive Yeezys on The Market

ByPhil Collins

Aug 12, 2022

Yeezy trainers have been delivering us the best cutting-edge silhouettes born from collaboration between mainstream sneaker brands Nike and Adidas and global superstar Kanye West, ever since the inception of each in 2009 and 2015, respectively. In just 6 years Yeezys have been an established staple of the sneaker market, and sneakerheads around the world clamber at the opportunity to own the latest pairs of these innovative trainers! Even in such a short time, Ye and his team have released a dozen different silhouettes, and countless colourways across the ranges, so there’s a huge variety for fans to choose from. However, there are some Yeezys that are a valued at a touch higher price point than the standard pair to hit the shelves. Let’s take a quick look at the five most expensive pairs available on the market today:

#5: Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Moon Rock – £2400

The Boost 350 Moon Rock colourway is a timeless design, if a little plain. These sneakers deliver exactly what the name suggests – the two-tone grey marbled design does conjure images of the desolate, rocky surface of the moon! We aren’t sure this design justifies such a pricetag though, as these can set you back up to £2400!

#4: Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Black – £2500

Very similar to the #5 entry on this list, the Boost 350 Black delivers about what you’d expect it to – an all-black exterior with a similar mottled appearance to the Moon Rock colourway. If you’re already shelling out £2400, why wouldn’t you add another £100 for less colour?

#3: Nike Air Yeezy 2 NRG Black/Solar Red – £4300

These special edition Yeezys were the 2nd ever produced by Nike and as such, fetch a huge price tag of up to £4300. With an odd velcrow-over-laces design and oddly sharp angles dominating the design, you’d have to be a big fan to lay down so much for these!

#2: Nike Air Yeezy 2 NRG Wolf Grey/Pure Platinum – £6500

There seems to be a running theme here! The Nike Air Yeezy 2 NRG also takes #2 in our list in its white version too! This silhouette is slightly less monochromous than it’s black/red twin as it incorporates some grey, but still doesn’t work too hard to justify its price!

#1: Nike Air Yeezy 2 SP Red October – £8200

It looks like the Air Yeezy 2 takes all three top spots on this list! This time, an even more exclusive special release gave us a striking all-red design along with different textures across the silhouette. But at over £8000, you probably don’t want to wear these sneakers on the court!
