It’s been one hell of a year year for Nike who have celebrated the 30th anniversary of the seminal Air Max 90 with a range of classic re-releases and updated colourways. Now, with the end of 2020 in sight, the brand is ready to round off the celebrations in style with the relaunch of the iconic “Infrared” colourway, which is set to land in November.
Officially known as the Air Max III, the uber-successful style that was taken off the shelves back in the mid-90s, will receive a re-release in full family sizes. Although we’ll see a few minor adaptations, the style won’t stray too far away from what we saw back then.
The only obvious distinction will come in the colour itself, with the new iteration making use of the “Radiant Red” in place of the original “Infrared.” Elsewhere, the design will be a familiar story with uppers comprised of suede, mesh and leather while the colour scheme is completed by white, black and cool grey accents that pay homage to the aesthetic beauty of the original style.
As of yet, Nike are yet to release any official imagery of the style, although with a release date set for November 9th, with less than a month to go expect to see something in the coming weeks. The Nike Air Max “Infrared” will go on sale at Nike SNKRS and with select retailers, so if you’re looking to cop a pair of these iconic re-releases then stay tuned for more information.
