The Biggest Gigs to check out in 2020

Now we’re out of the back end of one great decade of music and flying head-first into another we’re looking forward to another decade of music. With the return of the roaring twenties the music world isn’t about to start slowing down anytime soon, especially when it comes to live music.

Here are some of the biggest gigs that fans will be clawing to get tickets for in 2020:

Liam Gallagher 12th June – Heaton Park

It isn’t quite the Oasis Heaton Park reunion that everyone hoped for, but the taller Gallagher brother has built up some brilliant tracks in 2019, ready for his homecoming gig in his hometown of Manchester this summer.

The gig will be a standalone performance the day before Manchester’s Parklife festival weekend kicks off.

With the success of his 2019 album release ‘Why me? Why not.’ Expect his return to Manchester to be a gig not to miss as fans can get to at least partly quench their Oasis thirst.

Pearl Jam 10th July – British Summer Time Hyde Park

The London summer festival have secured an outstanding line-up for 2020 including the indomitable Pearl Jam. The 90’s Seattle rock band, led by Eddie Vedder, have songs on everyone’s playlists so expect festival tickets to sell out quicker than ever before. Especially since they are joined in the line up by the Pixies.

Alanis Morissette – Jagged Little Pill World Tour

For the 25th anniversary of the famous ‘Jagged Little Pill’ album Alanis Morissette will be performing around the world, so keep your eyes peeled for dates and locations for the UK leg of the tour which are yet to be announced.

Jagged Little Pill is an iconic album from the Canadian singer-songwriter who experimented to produce an alternative rock album that sprung out the grunge shadow and gave us some classic tracks such as ‘Ironic’ and ‘You Oughta Know’.

Guns N’ Roses 29-30 May – Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium London

With the original line up of Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan and Dizzy Reed all back together once again for a European tour, Rock fans have had the dates for their European tour tattooed on their bodies since they were announced.

They have confirmed dates at Tottenham Hotspurs new stadium in London for two nights in May. 

Paul McCartney 27 June – Glastonbury

The Beatles icon has already been announced as 2020’s Glasto headliner. And who better to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the famous festival than one of the most famous singer songwriters on the planet?

McCartney will headline the Saturday night where you can expect to hear a collection of his biggest hits from his entire back catalogue as well as some performances with special guests.
