If you are a fan of Michael Jordan and his revolutionary collaboration with Nike, then now is the perfect time to head down to your local cinema as the new movie, ‘Air’, starring Matt Damon, Viola Davis, Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman, and many more, is now available to watch!

While many have already watched it at the exclusive early screening, reviews have been flooding in after release week, some loving it and others not so much. One said, “Air is a good watch, but not an amazing one.” On the other hand, the infamous film critics at Rotten Tomatoes rated the film a whopping 99%! They commented on Damon’s directing calling it “strong” and “leapt over expectations”.

It is unclear as to why fans didn’t enjoy the movie as expected, but our best guess is that it could be down to the fact that it isn’t explicit that it’s about Nike and doesn’t feel authentic.

Take a look at this short synopsis of the film ‘Air’:

“The story follows Sonny Vaccaro, Matt Damon, and Nike pursue basketball rookie Michael Jordan, creating a partnership that will take the world of sports and contemporary culture by storm.”

While Jordan doesn’t star in the film himself, some archival tapes from THAT iconic shot in 1982 were featured during some scenes. From the moment that Vaccaro sees the game, his main goal is to make the partnership of a lifetime featuring sports brand, Nike and basketball legend, Michael Jordan.

Viola Davis stars as Deloris Jordan and she is a delight! The Oscar-award-winning actress stars as Michael Jordan’s mother and her role follows the journey of believing in her son and witnessing one of the greatest endorsement collaborations in the world.

In our opinion, we think Air is a decent film, that has been made well, and is definitely a good watch if you are looking to go to the cinema over the weekend!
