On the back of YEEZY’s Boost 350 V2 release calendar for the rest of 2020 and a whole host of other brilliant colourway releases so far, a lot of YEEZY fans are still clambering to try and get their hands on one of the best colourways in recent history for YE and Adidas: The Cinder.
Firstly rumoured as a Triple-Blackout colourway, only to be finally revealed as a charcoal, black and tan colour scheme that changes from a blackout aesthetic from afar to a more earthier-toned look up close.
The original look dropped back in march for £180 and sold out quickly. Ever since then, pairs have only been available on the resale market where prices can exceed £300 for certain sizes.
Why is the Cinder still so popular?
Trainer fans tend to opt for dark, blackout colourways or for white and more vibrant, colourful looks. What the Cinder manages to do is appeal to a larger fan base by creating an overall dark colourway but also managing, at the same time, to appeal to those who don’t usually choose a blackout colourway by using charcoals and browns instead of all black colouring.
The single mesh stripe is actually the only part of the shoe that is completely black, and this is used to break up the aesthetic into sections and give the eye a little more excitement.
The fact that the YEEZY Cinder works so well with a selection of different looks helps add to the universality of the look. By fitting into so many more fan’s regular rotation, it has heightened its reputation as a must have piece of footwear.
Style wise, this is a shoe that looks good on near enough anybody. Unlike more ostentatious looks that appeal to the few, this appeals to the many.
