As soon as it arrived back in 2018, the Yeezy 500 quickly established itself as one of Ye’s most important silhouettes. Not only was this new look bold and outspoken, but it signalled a willingness to deviate from a winning formula in order to create something new and unique.
Forgoing the traditional Primeknit used on other models in favour of luxury suede and nubuck fabrics, since it first dropped the Yeezy 500 has stuck two fingers up to conformity, earning itself a cult-following in the process, with many sneakerheads in awe of its off-the-wall design specs.
While the majority of the Yeezy release schedule has focused on the ever-present 350 V2 and more recently the 380, Kanye’s certainly not forgotten about the 500 and the popular silhouette is back with a restock of the beloved “Utility Black” colourway.
Dressed in all-black attire, this stealthy number is a carbon copy of the original which was released a couple years ago. Mesh panels interlock with leather overlays, while the unique, oval-shaped lacing system grabs your attention and never lets go!
Down below the shoe has a chunky EVA midsole which is mated to a wave-like sculptured treading that gives the “Utility Black” even more standout appeal and puts the finishing touches on a classic iteration that’s guaranteed to fly off the shelves once again when it arrives.
The shoe is set for release on November 30 on the official Yeezy website, as well select retailers. The last release proved popular so get ready to pounce as soon as they go live!
