Perhaps the only slides more recognisable than the Yeezys – the classic striped Adidas slides have been glimpsed on the feet of tech moguls like Mark Zuckerberg, popstars like Ariana Grande, and film celebrities like Sophie Turner. These slides may even take the crown as the most popular of all time! Available in a range of different colours, usually displaying the iconic thick white stripes across the strap, these slides are a staple of slide culture!
Adidas Adissage Slides
Building on the success of the Adilette slides, Adidas released other models, including the Adissage. The Adisagge slide looks very similar to the Adilette but comes with a few choice additions. For one, it is adjustable, coming with a Velcro-style hook and loop strap on top. It also features countless flexible nubs across the entire insole, there to massage the feet as you walk! These slides are the definition of style and comfort!
Crocs Classic Colour-Block Slides
Crocs are, in and of themselves, an iconic footwear. Instantly recognisable from the many holes punched in the upper, the Croc slides show that this company is about more that just controversial clogs! The Colour-Block slides are available with a black base and red strap, or white base with black strap. The iconic holes are punched across the strap and a raised Crocs logo is oriented so the wearer can read it, rather than another viewer.
Nike Asuna Crater Slides
Nike have been lacking in the slides game, but they may have made up for it with this release! The Nike Asuna slides feature a shark fin sole that is a touch reminiscent of the wavy design found on Yeezy trainers and slides. The inner soles are textured for grip but not to the extent of the Asissage massage slide. Most striking is the strap, which Nike have attempted to design with elements from their sneaker lines. The fabric strap is complimented with a tassel pull tightening system with laces criss-crossing the outside of the strap. Definitely the most unique slide on the list!
